India's Mega Port Projects (Operational by 2029)

1. Vadhavan Port (Maharashtra)

Location: Near Dahanu, 150 km north of Mumbai.

Capacity: 23 million TEUs (global shipping hub).

Status: ₹1,700 crore shore protection work awarded.


2. ICTP (Great Nicobar)

Purpose: Reduce dependence on foreign transshipment ports.

Status: Environmental clearance secured, approvals in progress.


Both projects will boost maritime trade & infrastructure.
