Southern Bypass Project for Bareilly

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced a ₹2,100 crore southern bypass project to reduce traffic congestion and enhance road connectivity in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

Key Highlights:

Length & Route: 30-km bypass starting at Jhumka Chauraha (NH-530) and ending near Invertis University, connecting NH-30 via a trumpet interchange.

Specifications: Four-lane divided carriageway with six-lane structures and grade separators.

Connectivity: Links NH-24 (Moradabad-Bareilly) and NH-530B (Budaun-Bareilly), bypassing Bareilly city.

Benefits: Reduces traffic jams, improves road safety, and boosts development in Bareilly and nearby areas.

Neeraj Maurya (SP): Called it a relief for Bareilly residents.

Chhatarpal Gangwar (BJP): Highlighted its benefits for travelers between Delhi and Lucknow.
