NHPC to invest 5500 cr. in 1000 MW solar project in Bihar..


NHPC ltd India largest hydropower company: BIHAR 
Plan to invest: 5500 cr. 
Sector : 1000MW solar power project. 
Chairman and managing director: Raj Kumar Choudhary revealed the investment during Bihar business connect 2024 
MoU : sign between NHPC and Bihar government. 
Timely execution of the project say by Choudhary.
Land is a crucial for solar project and we urge the state government to facilitate the acquisition process to ensure that we can proceed on schedule he added.. 
Green hydrogen which is produced by split water using renewable energy is the cleanest from the energy as it generate no canbon emissions only water. 
Choudhary said NHPC will finance the green hydrogen power buses which will be provided the state government for public transport. 

The company is implementing similar green hydrogen project in gujarat and other states. Choudhary noted that the government is keen to promote green hydrogen as a suitable fuel and NHPC plan is in line with this vision. Initially NHPC intended to depoy one green hydrogen power bus with plans to increase the number as more solar power is generated.
