The Jamnagar Refinery project by Reliance Industries Ltd is a landmark in India’s industrial history. Inaugurated on December 28, 1999, it marked India’s transformation from a fuel-deficit nation to a self-sufficient and later a net-exporting country for gasoline and gasoil.
