In a significant developments for India logistics and maritime transport sector CONCOR has successfully bridged the logistical gap between Chennai and Port Blair with the successful dispatch of its first Ice Battery container with set temperature of 5°c from Chennai to shree Vijaya puram.. 26 dec. 

This breakthrough aims to revolutionize the transportation of good between the Indian mainland and Andaman and Nicobar islands, significant improvements the efficiency, sustainability and reliability of this vital shipping route.

The introduction of the ice battery container is expected to address several logistics challenge that have long affected the Chennai to port Blair shipping route.

The Andaman and Nicobar Island being isolated and dependent on sea transport have faced limitations in the regularity and efficiency of supply chain operation particularly for temperature sensitive cargo. With the new ice battery container goods can now be transport more reliable, thanks to the container build in energy storage system.
